What should I do if ferry reservations are full?
Don’t worry! Vehicle reservations are released in waves. See information below
Vehicle reservations are required and released in tiers at 7:00 AM PT:
• Initial 30% were released on April 16th
• 30%: Released two weeks prior to the sailing date
• 30%: Released two days prior to the sailing date
• Remaining 10%: Set aside for emergency and standby travel
We recommend setting a calendar reminder to visit the WSF website at 7:00 AM PT on those dates.
Alternatively, you may choose to walk onto the ferry, which does not require a reservation. A private trolley will be available to transport guests from Friday Harbor to Roche Harbor on the wedding day.

What time should I arrive at the ferry terminal?
It is critical that you arrive at the terminal at least 45-60 mins prior to your departure time
We recommend planning to arrive 1.5 hours prior to departure in case there is traffic.
Taking the trolley?
For guests staying in Friday Harbor
Departure from Friday Harbor:
• Pick-up: Memorial Park on 8/7/2026 at 2:45 PM
• Arrival: Roche Harbor Resort at 3:30 PM
Departure from Roche Harbor Resort:
• Pick-up: Resort front desk
• Arrival: Friday Harbor
• Note: Departure times will be announced toward the end of the evening. The trolley will be available for guests catching the last ferry of the night.
Is there a shuttle from the Ferry to the Resort if I’m arriving before the wedding day?

If you are walking onto the ferry before or after the wedding day, we recommend pre-booking a taxi with San Juan Taxi or Friday Harbor Taxi. There is also a seasonal shuttle (The San Juan Transit) that runs between the ferry terminal and Roche Harbor.
If you’re having trouble coordinating a ride from the ferry terminal to the resort, please reach out to Brenna or Ryan directly.
What should I wear?
Formal Attire | Black Tie Optional
Think suits, ties, cocktail dresses, and your best evening wear! Please avoid jeans, hats, t-shirts, flannels & tennis shoes
The ceremony will be in the garden lawn, we recommend block heels or wedges for your comfort
Do I need to stay overnight?
Staying overnight is not required, but highly encouraged
We recommend staying the night before & the night of the wedding to fully enjoy the celebration. The island has so much to offer!
Please note:
• Our reception will end at 11:00 PM
• The last ferry departs at 10:00 PM from Friday Harbor (20 minute drive from Roche Harbor) & may be subject to unexpected delays
Are there grocery stores nearby?
The Roche Harbor General Store has a great selection of essentials, snacks, and wine
For a larger selection, Kings Market in Friday Harbor (right by the ferry terminal) is the best place to stock up on your way in.
Can I Uber or Lyft on the island?
Please note that Uber and Lyft do not operate on the island
We highly recommend using our provided trolley service or pre-scheduling a local taxi if you are not staying at the resort.
